Religion, in these modern times, is a crutch for the unaware, the unconscious, or the too cowardly to take the road of self actualization. Whereas, in ancient and premodern times, religion was a means of explaining the unknown.
The fixation on giving your power to an external source is very dehumanizing, it was the goal of the rulers of yore, carried over, via tradition, to the happenings of today. Each one of us is a conscious being experiencing a human existence. We are far more powerful than they would have us believe. We have been lied to our whole lives because this society, modern humanity, is disconnected from the source.
People cannot be blamed, they do not know any better, they are complacent and they are plagued with cognitive dissonance….looking for someone else to blame and push responsibility onto.
