Trapped

Scratching the surface

After, the tongue plays the game

The bite, the sting is all

He is certain of being real

About to close the door he

Let you in…. you infected

The lot and the water hole

He just can’t get enough of you

He closes his eyes, letting you

Pass him by, wishing to be by

your side, the glimmer in your eye

He always asks why

The stories in our lives are

The answer.  Too much, they are

The same.  It is time for changes to

Come, to look for something new

Do you remember?

I remember…

The smile and the look in your eyes

Never thought to be untrue
