Poem #34

Collision
We live in a land of land-locked dreams
Measured by what we have and not what we do
Though we strive for greatness, no matter the means
Greatness evades us as we ignore the screams

of the innocent, the victims, crying to be heard
helpless in life, their thoughts not their own.
Screaming their plight, passion in each word.
When evils collide, who is left holding the sword?
